One handed Catch is a heartwarming book! Its about a boy named Norm who wants to be a baseball player when he grows up. Leon i liked one handed cach it is about a boy whoses hand is cut off and his dream get cut off as well or so he thought. Norm must find the strength to not give up on his dreams. Sixth grader Norm’s future plans are built arou nd bein g either a pitcher or an artist, but when he loses his hand helping his father by grinding meat for a customer, his hopes are shattered. The theme of this book is that no matter if you have a disability or not you can do anything. At least eighty kids signed up and only sixteen players were picked. In the end, Norm achieves his goal by being on the league baseball team. The narrator talks about Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's. Every two or three chapters the seasons change.

The book is sort of like a year's summary of his life. The reason it is called One Handed Catch is that he learns that batting baseball with one hand can be challenging but it can be achieved.
